The Stone House is built on a point of land that has a 180 degree white water ocean view like no other! The home sleeps up to eight people and includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms and is adjacent to a white sand beach known as Baby Beach. The kitchen has a large picture window and comes fully equipped with everything you need for those looking to prepare a homecooked meal island style! The dining and living room areas have a spectacular panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean which allows for hours of whale (seasonal), dolphins and sea turtle watching. Known for being one of the southern most points in Poipu, the surrounding property provides plenty of privacy, open space and some of the best view plains Kauai has to offer that can capture both sunrise and sunsets. 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins, and 2 Daybeds in living room. AC is ONLY in bedrooms.

Our family had the best vacation we ever had and we’ve travelled a lot together! The glass walls in the front framed the most gorgeous views of trees, ocean and sky. The crashing waves lulled us to sleep after a day of snorkeling and swimming at Baby Beach, a few steps from the house. The house was very well-stacked with everything we needed to prepare sumptuous meals enjoyed on the lanai. Overall, a truly amazing stay at a beautiful house in a location like no other!

The Stonehouse has been providing our family with magical memories for over 20 years. This home is located on a gorgeous point of land with 180 degree ocean views!! The home is beautifully appointed with very comfortable beds and lovely furnishings. The bedrooms have ac but in January we never use it but rather love to fall asleep to the soothing rhythm of the ocean.The kitchen is gourmet equipped to make meals at home and to eat on the ocean front lanai. Louis, Brenda and Chele are so friendly and easy to work with!! The stone house location provides you sweeping views to watch whales, turtles dolphins and the occasional surfer. In addition you can walk to The beach house restaurant or up to Kukuiulu. We thank the Smith Waterhouse family for sharing their beautiful home with us these many years.

The house is in a beautiful location, right on the point and spectacular views out of all the rooms. The kitchen counters looked like they were updated, air conditioners in each bedroom worked great. The home is stocked with alot in the kitchen, a few things could be replaced as they didn't work very well (can opener, sharpen knives). Although this is a great location we had issues with people from the neighboring homes walking through the yard to get to the rock point almost daily. I was cursed at when asking them to stop. Locals park in the cul de sac and walk thru the driveway as well. The worst issue for me was the cockroaches, they were everywhere. Found poo and larva daily on the counters, stairs, in cabinets. The last morning I got up and 2 fell off me. That was too much for me, in the 30 years I've been coming to Kauai I've never experienced that many roaches inside a home. A deep fumigation is really needed along with a deep cleaning around trim, on the beams (you can see the poo/larva/bugs from upstairs on the top of the beams) to remove all the bugs and their droppings.

Overall our stay was fantastic! This was our second stay at Stonehouse and it is by far our preference with the location. It is always clean and ready to go. We noticed the changes and upgrades and appreciated the work that was done to I close the upstairs bedrooms. The cockroaches were plentiful this stay and we have never had an issue with those before inside the house. So treating those would help:) Again, we loved our stay and are thankful and blessed to be able to stay there. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Storehouse is the perfect place to stay in Kauai! We came with friends and it was perfect, would be great for a family as well. Poipu was the best place for us, close to amazing beaches (baby beach is about a 45 second stroll away), amazing restaurants and the view from this house..not sure you will want to go anywhere else! While there are air conditioners in each bedroom, the ceiling fans cool the rest of the house nicely and there is a nice breeze. We started the morning with coffee on the deck and cocktails at night to watch the sun set.

We have stayed at Stonehouse for 20 years. The home is absolutely beautiful, open airy with wall to floor windows that allow sunrise to sunset ocean views, The expansive yard and huge lanai are perfect for relaxing playing football with grandchildren or simply sitting reading and enjoying the phenomenal view. The home is decorated with gorgeous hand crafted Koa wood sofa and tables and has very comfortable beds and linens. The staff at Garden Island are so friendly and respond immediately to any needs or questions you have.Thank you to the family for sharing their beautiful special home.

We had the most amazing and relaxing two weeks at Stonehouse. What an incredible setting with a 180 view to watch whales breaching, spinner dolphins cruising by, turtles visiting just outside the lanai and spectacular sunsets each evening. The home was tastefully decorated and fully stocked. We can't wait to return.....

This was our wedding and honeymoon spot. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay on the island at The Stonehouse. It could not have been more perfect. The second day of our stay we married on the lawn in front of the ocean. Two mornings in a row we saw a giant school of dolphins on our porch. The beach is just barely a minute walk from our porch. Everything was provided for at our house. We only had to pick up some snacks and a few drinks. The house was clean and well taken care of. Most tourist attractions are a short commute from the house. The Spouting horn is just a 3 minute drive. Some of the best restaurants are located on the south shore so you may only drive 5 -10 minutes at most to these places. We absolutely loved Stevens Library at the Grand Hyatt it was just 5 minutes away. I highly recommend this place. It made for some precious memories for me and my husband.

This place was perfect for our family. The view was amazing, location perfect. We didn&#x2019;t spend much time in the home, but we could have easily spent our whole stay between the home and near by baby beach. We didn&#x2019;t have many needs, but the host was proactive in correspondence through text. We will likely return with grandparents for a future visit.

We stayed for a week for our 20th anniversary with our whole family. The location is second to none. The view from the large patio with its coverage to protect you from the sun was our favorite. We preferred to have dinner there than at a restaurant. <br/><br/>The house has air-conditioned rooms but the main living areas are not which never was a problem because the breeze off the ocean is so pleasant. <br/><br/>I would stay here again anytime -- and hope to.

Stonehouse is situated on a point of land which provides you with 180 degree views of dolphins, whales, sea turtles and occasionally surfers.You are literally surrounded by water views. You also have a lovely lawn, privacy and a gorgeous long lanai in which you can sit and enjoy the views or dine al fresco.The home itself is light airy and beautifully furnished with a hand made koa wood living room set. The bedding is very comfortable. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with everything you need to dine in and prepare lovely meals. But if you feel like dining out, Storehouse is a 5 minute walk from the Shops and restaurants at kukuiula. You are also a 5 minute walk from the Beach House restaurant.The bedrooms are air conditioned, however in January we love to have the windows open to listen to the rhythms of the ocean. Stonehouse will not disappoint, and we have made many many wonderful family memories here with our children and grandchildren. In addition, the staff at Garden Island rentals are friendly and easy to work with.

We have not been to the beach house in 15 years. Furniture and kitchen equipment had been upgraded, but it was like coming home. Was there ever a<br/>more beautiful view! My husband was bothered by the light switches that did not<br/>turn anything on and we should called for help in figuring out the TV. Otherwise a 5 all way round.

Stone House is our favorite spot on the island and we can&#x2019;t wait until we can stay here again! The views from this house can&#x2019;t be beat, and it&#x2019;s honestly the type of home where you feel like you never need to leave. We spent most of our time on the deck and the front lawn watching the waves, sea turtles, dolphins and even several rainbows. The house was very clean and well stocked when we arrived. We really loved the upgrades made since our last stay in 2014, especially the AC&#x2019;s now in each room. They work really well to keep the rooms cool and comfy for sleep. The grills propane tank was just about empty when we arrived and management responded promptly to our request for a refill so we could grill a few nights on the amazing patio which we were super appreciative of. After staying here as well as a few other spots on the island, we don&#x2019;t want to stay anywhere else when we return to Kauai! Nothing can beat the view, convenient location and a small beach just a short walk across a beautiful lawn! Thank you for another amazing stay!

This house is situated on one of THE MOST beautiful points of land in Kauai!! Located in Koloa&#x2014;truly the sunny side of the island&#x2014;you never stop hearing the sound of rolling waves in this well-appointed home. The sunsets every night from the deck overlooking Baby Beach were unbeatable!! There is almost everything you need within walking distance&#x2014;great beaches, Spouting Horn, great shopping and dining at the Shops at Kukuia&#x2019;ula. Kiahuna golf course is 5 minute drive away...a terrific Robert Trent Jones course. The kitchen is VERY well appointed if you choose to eat &#x201C;in&#x201D;. Truly the highlight of this home is the beautiful grounds that surround and the privacy! It has everything you need for a true escape to paradise!!

We have stayed at this house several years ago and loved it. On this trip the Island was experiencing unusually warm temperatures and this house does not have AC. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay, loved listening to the waves and watching the turtles play in the surf.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Stonehouse. What an amazing setting with a 180 degree view of the ocean. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the lanai watching the sea turtles and dolphins, and our evening Mai Tais watching the birds and the sunset over the pacific. The house was beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

This had to have some of the best views on the island! The place has just been fully remodeled and everything was like new. Great place for kids too. There is a huge lawn that is protected by a low hedge to keep the little ones in. Sunsets were beautiful and each night about a thousand parrots flew by at sunset to roost in nearby palm trees. Highly recommend. The only problem we had was the washing machine was leaking water. The management company was waiting for the part to come in.

The location cannot be beat, not only in proximity to shops and restaurants, but also in the fact that you can wake up to the sound of the ocean, sit on the lanai and drink coffee less than 50 ft from shore, the greater than 180 degree unobstructed views, and the perfect sunsets. The house is also well stocked, and is a great place to cook and enjoy the evening. We did this most nights, as the view was better than any restaurant in Poipu.

Our rental of this property was smooth and easy. Most of all, it was a prime location with probably one of the best views you could want. You get the best of everything...lawn to lounge on, rocks to travel on, and sand to dig your feet in. Everyday we enjoyed the warm breezes and sound of the happiest birds on earth! Location is tucked away in a cozy cul-de-sac, but also within a few minutes walking distance to a great shopping and dining area. The house was clean and had what we needed. We'd definitely stay here again!

We've stayed in 6 other oceanfront homes within a mile of this location, but Stonehouse has the most spectacular view! With two sides of the first floor being all windows, you have a front-row seat for any activity in or on the water. The open floor plan is magnificent, with plenty of comfortable seating and lounging spaces for everyone. Outdoors, too. The kitchen has everything a cook needs, except a spatula. <br/>It is just a short walk to the KuKui'ula Market Place where you'll find a terrific variety of dining and shopping options.<br/>The house, while well-suited for a family, is not great for two couples unless they want to share a bathroom. The two generous-sized bedrooms are both upstairs, but only one of them has an ocean view. The small bedroom (with twin beds) is downstairs and it lacks an ocean view also. There is a bathroom on each floor.<br/>Stonehouse was wonderful, but my husband and I were the only guests.<br/>Kate and Bob in Boise<br/>

The location of this house could not be more perfect, with the sandy beach and proximity to ideal snorkeling spots, the resorts and restaurants. Whales, dolphins, turtles and seals were in abundance during our stay! The property was clean, well-stocked and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this property!
