The back lanai has been called a tropical treehouse, surrounded by palm trees and offering the ultimate privacy. It’s the coolest spot in Poipu to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature.

On rainy days, don’t worry! Pull down the Murphy bed in the living room and get cozy for a movie night with Roku streaming to access all your favorite accounts.

  • A non-refundable reservation fee of $150.00 will be charged upon booking. Please refer to the guest rental agreement for all terms and conditions.

  • Receptions, luaus, and parties are strictly prohibited on the property.

  • This property is in a Tsunami Evacuation Zone. In an event a tsunami is detected as probable by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, the Office of Emergency Preparedness of the County of Kauai will make the same known by sirens. Please evacuate Poipu in accordance to the evacuation plan provided to you prior to taking occupancy or that is located in the Guest Information Guide on property. We strongly encourage you to read the plan prior to taking occupancy.

Great place; great stay. we left one beach chair on the lower level that was already broken and we left you two full size beach chairs w clip on umbrellas. Look forward to being back next year. Hope the yard care can be done later than 7:00 a.m. tho!

Hale Malanai was a wonderful place to stay on Kauai! The home is exactly as we imagined it would be, with ample space to enjoy and a 15 second walk to the beach (good to run to catch the sunrise/sunset, or back if it sprinkles rain!). The house was stocked with absolutely everything you could imagine, and the beds were comfortable.<br/><br/>We encountered some very minor maintenance issues but the property managers were prompt and professional to help.<br/><br/>The only thing we wish we knew before hand were that there were multiple beach cats who hang out on the property. While very cute, we suffer from very bad cat allergies so it made it hard to enjoy the outside decks with them so close by consistently. <br/><br/>Overall - a lovely stay!

We had a great stay at Hale Malanai. The location was perfect! Waking up to that ocean view was the best. Having no AC was not an issue at all, with all the windows open the breeze was lovely and kept the house cool all day and all night. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to Kauai.

Great experience for our vacation at Hale Malanai. Great communication from host prior to arrival. Found the property in IMMACULATE condition when got there. Very clean and well appointed. Loved the keyless entry, one less thing to keep track of when going snorkeling. 5 minute walk to Lawai beach for snorkeling, 30 second walk (not kidding) to Baby Beach for great sunsets and lounging beach side. Really cool neighborhood feel you don't get staying at a condo complex.<br/>Can't wait to stay there again.

Hale Malanai was everything we hoped for. The location was amazing, just across the street from beautiful Baby Beach where we could go and be away from the more crowded areas like Poipu. The home is amazing, with sliding doors that open and allow the trade winds to keep the house cool throughout the day. Restaurants and shops are only about a 10 minute walk away as well. Wonderful stay!

We had a stellar time at Hale Malani. Our flights were late and when we arrived at 23:30 the outside and living room lights were on for us. Our two teens loved the front "double bedroom" that they made their own space. We talked and ate for hours every day on the lanai. The kitchen and all linens were extremely well outfitted. The location was fabulous and private parking a bonus. The beach, restaurants, bakeries, fabulous coffee, and shopping are all walkable. Thank you to the owners and Garden Island Rentals for making this house feel like home.

The property was exactly as described and is in a wonderful location. Although the property is accross the street, it really is just a few steps from the public access to the beach. The owners seemed to have thoiught of everything to help make your stay more enjoyable. They even have boogie boards, a surfboard, and many guidebooks that are available for use; not to mention all the kitchen appliances you will ever need. It sleeps four comfortably, although one person will need to sleep on a fold down bed. There is no air conditioning but there was a nice breeze blowing thru the house with the windows open. WIthin an hour after moving in, the house had cooled down and stayed comfortable thoughout our stay. Baby Beach is a great place to watch the sunset each evening. We spent the mnornings on the wrap around deck drinking our coffee. It is in a great little neighborhood and within wallking distance to the Beach House restaurant. We would definitely come back!

Excellent views where you can watch the dolphins play from the living room. 40 ft from one of my favorite beaches (baby Beach) where I also got lots of entertainment. Turtles and monk seals beached themselves. The house is in a great area close to plenty of great food and entertainment.
