Escape to The Hoona Beach House on the beautiful sunny south shore of Kaua'i. The Beach House is an ocean-front home, sitting literally 30 feet from the water's edge with 210-degree ocean views. You can hear the crashing waves from every room of this impeccable 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home. The lanai/deck stretches out from the rear of the house, giving you a perfect spot to watch the local surfers catch the massive breaking waves on the outside reef, enjoy the breathtaking sunset each evening, or watch the playful sea turtles at the water’s edge. At night, your reality will seamlessly become a dream with the sound of the waves just outside. The Hoona Beach House is a spotlessly clean, open style single-story Hawaiian floorplan, with glass walls across the back.

The property features a front-row ocean view from almost everywhere inside this 3-bedroom, 3-bath home. It is completely private with tropical surroundings, sitting on the shore of a tranquil cove with lava rock and coral reefs on both sides, giving you an unobstructed ocean view and privacy from neighbors. In 2021 a major renovation and re-build of the Hoona Beach House was completed. Everything inside and out is modernized and brand new (from windows, doors, roof, cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, flooring, to even the furniture, etc.). The 1800 square foot home features an enormous, open living-dining area, a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a large pantry, and inside laundry facilities. A California king bed is in the master bedroom. The second and third bedrooms both offer queen sized beds. All baths have Caesarstone counter tops, and top of the line European designed fixtures. One-piece Toto toilets are in all three baths All linens and towels are provided, including plenty of large beach towels.

The Hoona Beach House is a custom designed tropical retreat. The interior has glass walls that open wide to the large lanai, where waves lap the reef only steps away. A gas barbecue is outside on the deck, for casual cooking. Ceiling fans are in each room, to enhance the cool, scented breeze of the trade winds. And, when you return from the beach, or if you just want to cool off, an outdoor, hot/cold shower is in a private corner of the rear yard under tall coconut trees, overlooking the sparkling ocean and reef. After your stay, you will cherish the memories of your visit for a lifetime.

*Reservation Fee of $150.00 is non-refundable upon cancellation. Please see guest rental agreement for all reservation requirements/conditions and contact us prior to booking should you have any questions regarding the adult and children guest count or property.

In an event a tsunami is detected as probable by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, the Office of Emergency Preparedness of the County of Kauai will make the same known by sirens. Please evacuate Poipu in accordance to the evacuation plan provided to you prior to taking occupancy or that is located in the Guest Information Guide on property. Overall

We have just retuned back home after what can only be described as a long, absolute amazing and unforgettable holiday. Just under 7 weeks in total, visiting and spending time at some incredible places in the World. Having started at Honolulu and then spending a week at Kona, we caught a flight to the French Polynesia, spending time in Tahiti, Bora Bora, Mo'orea, Raiatea, some spectacular oceans and views. We retuned back to Hawaii and spent our final week in Kauai. I can safely say, not only did we find Island of Kauai unbelievably beautiful but the Beach House we stopped in was also spectacular. The views of the ocean, the noise of the sea, the cool breeze flowing through the house, were just splendid. Turtles outside, what a sight and no more than a minute walk, if that, you come to a sandy beach, small enough to be private (so to say) and big enough to enjoy. Tom, the owner, what a great guy. He was so welcoming, accommodated to all our needs, the house was immaculately clean, and this in all fairness is an understatement, it was sparkling. Seeing is believing. Abundance of towels, beach towels, probably the most comfortable beds we slept in during our travels, the furniture was of a very high standard along with the appliances which you can see were the best that money can buy. No expense sparred for sure. Tom, well, i can only say that he is a very caring, kind and passionate man. Went over and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant. It was a great ending to a wonderful and unforgettable holiday. Would highly recommend Tom and The Beach House.

"Amazing, simply amazing! Hoona Beach House was the perfect place for us. It is newly renovated, spotless, spacious, and perfectly located. There are two large double sliding doors leading to the oceanfront lanai with a spectacular view of the ocean and when opened a wonderful breeze blows across the living room. It is only a 2-5 minute walk to some of the best snorkeling on the island. Shops, restaurants, surfing and various beaches are just 5-10 minutes away. We loved our hikes to the Waimea Canyon, Heritage Trail and Kapalua, our surfing lessons and a sailing trip up around the Napali coast (absolutely gorgeous!) However, some of our favorite things were right there at Ho'ona Beach House, reading under the coconut tree, watching the turtles, relaxing on the lanai and having family dinner's at home. This was my first time to Kaua’i and as the week went by, I appreciated more and more the location of Hoona Beach House and how special it is. The host is awesome; he takes great pride and joy in sharing his home with others. He is always available for questions and help. I highly recommend staying here and I can’t wait to return!!"
